Applicants submit their awards entries via our online awards management system and then it’s over to the judges. Our judging panels are drawn from across the trade association sector, alongside leading figures who have spent their careers working in and around our sector.
The judging happens in two parts:
First there is a sifting round, with panels formed for each of the three thematic areas (Engage, Improve, Lead) that will shortlist the entries and put them through to the final judging panel.
The sifting panel will comprise of impartial volunteers from the Forum’s membership together with a chosen expert for each category wherever possible. The final judging panel will meet to discuss the shortlist, weigh up the merits of each entry and come to a collective decision on the winner.
There will normally be one winning submission per category, though they may also choose to single out other entries for special commendations.
The Judges will take into consideration the merit of the entries and the extent to which the entries meet the awards criteria as well as the quality of the supporting documentation submitted. The Judges will also recognise that smaller associations may not necessarily have the resources of larger associations.
